Photonic Time Stretching Processor Design (PTP)

The Photonic Front-end Processor (PFP) performs “time-stretching” of the input RF signal and converts the stretched optical signal to the electrical signal, which is then sampled by the electronic digitizer. 

The RF signal is connected to the PFP. The PFP in turn modulates a Continuous Wave (CW) transmission. Using Dispersion technology, the RF signal is stretched up to 40x. The Optical signal is converted to electrical by an internal PD at a much lower frequency. 

This signal is then inputed into an Electronic Digitizer.
